We are looking for an experienced account manager to champion customer-centricity at Sqills

What will you do as an account manager at Sqills?

As an account manager at Sqills, you will ensure that our customers are empowered to drive their business (and revenues) with our industry-leading Software as a Service (SaaS) product: S3 Passenger. With S3 Passenger, you will work with the most modern sales and reservation system on the market for transport operators. Do you believe you can guarantee great customer experience / service while increasing our customers’ satisfaction and Net Promoter Score (NPS)? Then this role may be something for you!

Work location

You determine your location! Whether it is Amersfoort, our office conveniently located near Amersfoort Schothorst train station, or Sqills’ headquarters in Enschede, to spend valuable time discussing client challenges and solutions with your peers. For those days that require dedicated focus, there is plenty of flexibility to work from home, in a hybrid set-up.

We have a global client base, ranging from North America to a strong client base in Europe. As part of the role, you will therefore be expected to travel across Europe to your customers.

We are looking for someone...

…To champion customer-centricity at Sqills towards your respective customers (as part of our Customer Centric Teams). You are capable of multi-tasking and managing (priorities across up to) 5 customer (contracts) by ensuring strong governance and value delivery (at all organisational levels: operational, tactical and strategic). In parallel, you empower the involved Customer Centric Team (including Business Consultants, Service Delivery Managers and Business Application Specialists) and act as an external and internal escalation level for customers.

Your profile

  • You have a Master’s in business administration or similar;

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience as an account manager or similar within IT/technology and/or Transport Industry ;

  • Proven track record in building and expanding customer relationships on C-1 to C-3 organisation level by focusing on healthy, insightful and meaningful dialogues and relationships with key customer stakeholders. This also includes creating new relationships based on (to be) defined Strategic Account Plan.

  • You excel in mobilising and aligning internal stakeholders (including Service Delivery Manager, Business Consultants, Product Teams and Executive Sponsors) to deliver exceptional customer service; by means of opportunity identification, continuous improvement, prioritization and planning.

  • Advanced in account management tools and processes; such as, creating/maintaining strategic account plans, leading strategic (partnership) meetings and/or steering committees; and identifying and road-mapping operational, tactical, strategic as growth opportunities and/or account risk-mitigations

  • Excellent commercial awareness; inquisitive about “the why”, the bigger picture and the commercial and operational value at play;

  • Proven track-record in eliciting and interpreting difficult problems and facilitate clients (and teams) towards sustainable solutions;

  • Experienced in solution selling approach (ideally in the SaaS/Product space) to cross-sell and upsell; 

  • Languages: Fluent in English. Professional Working Proficiency in French and/or Spanish is a plus;

  • Technical Pre-Sales and/or Project management experience is a plus

  • Other must-have skills and capabilities: Interpersonal and Communication skills, Prioritization/Time management, Negotiation skills, Expectation management, Independence/leadership/ownership, Critical thinking and problem solving, Value and Solution focused, Market research, Product mindset, Business acumen in Rail, Bus and/or Air market; especially in domains of commerce, reservations and/or distribution.
