Sqills is an innovative, leading transportation software company. Our mission is to simplify and make passenger transportation more efficient and accessible by offering S3 Passenger, a market-leading dynamic pricing, inventory management, and innovative reservation system. 

As we embark on the next phase of enhancing our product, we're in the process of developing a new application. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Data Scientist to be a valuable part of this journey. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our software offerings!

What will you do?

You will be part of an agile DevOps team that consists of different specialists. You will be a part of a team that is responsible for a new component within Sqills. This means you have a chance to provide input into producing this new component from the very beginning. Some things you are responsible for include:

Data Analysis and Modelling:

• Utilise advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyse large datasets related to transportation, pricing, and inventory management.

• Develop predictive models to optimise revenue strategies and enhance decision-making processes.

Feature Engineering:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify relevant features and variables for the application.

• Implement data preprocessing and feature engineering techniques to enhance model performance.

Algorithm Development:

• Design and implement algorithms to support dynamic pricing, inventory forecasting, and reservation optimisation.

• Continuously optimise and refine algorithms to adapt to evolving business needs and industry trends.

Data Visualisation:

• Create insightful and actionable visualisations to communicate complex data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Provide data-driven recommendations to improve revenue management strategies.

We are looking for someone with…

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field;

• Minimum 5 years experience with applied statistical modelling;

• Experience in revenue management and pricing optimisation is a plus;

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R;

• Expertise in machine learning, statistical modelling, software engineering, and data visualisation tools;

• Curious about discovering new use cases and applications for artificial intelligence;

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex findings to diverse audiences.
