Front end Developer
Are you interested in contributing to our goal of becoming the world leader in software for public transport? Would you like to work at a dynamic and innovative organization whose software is used globally? If so, this is the perfect job opportunity for you!
That, and more, is what Sqills can offer you. As we embark on the next phase of enhancing our product, we're in the process of developing a new application. We are looking for a front end developer that can help us shape the future for the transportation industry. Let's build the next generation of dynamic pricing, inventory management, and reservation systems together!
You will be part of an agile team focused on front-end development, responsible for both developing and maintaining new front-end components within Sqills. This gives you the opportunity to contribute to the creation of new components from the ground up, while also learning and improving existing components already in use by public transport operators. If you enjoy challenges, seeing your ideas come to life, and making a direct impact on the customer, this role is a great fit for you.
In this position, you’ll channel your passion and creativity into forging solutions for our S3 Passenger product, such as UI applications for the public transport sector. Working with modern frontend technologies like Typescript and React, you’ll collaborate closely with other developers to build and maintain these applications.
Develop and maintain scalable and robust software components using Typescript, React, Vite and Remix;
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry standards;
Participate in the design and development of new features and capabilities for the S3 Passenger platform;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software;
Identify and troubleshoot technical issues and bugs, and provide solutions to complex problems;
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in web development technologies and programming languages.
Bachelor’s degree in both working and technical proficiency (e.g. HBO ICT, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Technical Management);
Expertise in web development, for example using Typescript and React. Good experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Remix, and platforms such as AWS is nice to have;
Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
Good understanding of software development best practices, including unit testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently;
Good problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think outside the box and find creative solutions to complex problems.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-impact product and make a significant contribution to the public transport industry. If you are a talented and driven software developer, we would love to hear from you.
