Front end Developer
Are you interested in contributing to our goal of becoming the world leader in software for public transport? Would you like to work at a dynamic and innovative organization whose software is used globally? If so, this is the perfect job opportunity for you!
That, and more, is what Sqills can offer you. One of our innovative new components was just released to production and we’re entering an exciting phase of further development and refinement. We're looking for a front end developer who wants to help elevate this component to the next level—bringing user-facing features to life and helping set new standards in dynamic pricing, inventory management, and reservation systems for the transportation industry.
What will you do?
You will be part of an agile DevOps team made up of diverse specialists, working on a recently launched component within Sqills that’s now live in production and rapidly evolving. With a well-filled roadmap full of new features and improvements, there’s plenty of room to shape its future—especially on the front end, where major steps still need to be taken. This is a unique opportunity to make visible impact with functionality that customers are genuinely waiting for. If you enjoy working on something that’s still in motion, turning ideas into concrete solutions, and making a real difference for users, this is the place to be.
Within your role, you will be able to channel your passion for design into creating frontend solutions for this new component of our S3 Passenger product, including building dashboards based on near-real-time data, among other tasks. Using modern frontend technologies such as Typescript and React, you will work closely with other software developers who create the building blocks for the frontend. Additionally, if interested, you can also participate in backend-oriented development, being part of a full stack DevOps team.
Some things you are responsible for include:
Develop and maintain scalable and robust software components using Typescript and React;
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry standards;
Participate in the design and development of new features and capabilities for the S3 Passenger platform;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software;
Identify and troubleshoot technical issues and bugs, and provide solutions to complex problems;
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in web development technologies and programming languages.
About you
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as HBO ICT, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or Technical Management
5+ years of experience in web development, for example using Typescript and React
Experience with developing advanced dashboards using MUI (Material UI) is a plus;
Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
Good understanding of software development best practices, including unit testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple tasks concurrently;
Good problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think outside the box and find creative solutions to complex problems.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-impact product and make a significant contribution to the public transport industry. If you are a talented and driven software developer, we would love to hear from you.
