Sqills is looking for a Junior Software Tester with a passion for technology. We are looking for an enthusiastic, eager-to-learn colleague who enjoys testing our software, features, and more.
As a Junior Software Tester, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our software. You’ll start by learning the ropes of our testing processes and tools, with plenty of support from your team. Your main tasks will include:
Writing and reviewing basic test plans and test cases under the guidance of senior testers.
Performing manual tests and gradually getting involved in automated testing as you gain experience.
Working closely with developers and analysts to understand the functionality of our software suite, S3 Passenger.
Assisting in the development of automated tests using languages like Kotlin, Go, Java, or React, with mentorship from more experienced team members.
Helping to provide quick feedback on any issues you find, ensuring they are addressed promptly.
Learning to automate tests at different levels, such as API, GUI, and integration, with ongoing support from your team.
Documenting test results and sharing your findings with the team and stakeholders, gradually taking on more responsibility as you grow in the role.
Bachelor’s degree in both working and technical proficiency (e.g. HBO ICT, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Technical Management);
Some knowledge of testing techniques and methods such as ISTQB or TMap is a plus, but not required.
An interest in the technical side of software testing (Programming, Continuous Integration/Delivery).
Any knowledge of test automation tools like Cucumber, Rest Assured, Apitest, or Cypress is a plus, but we’re happy to teach you.
Basic knowledge of programming languages (Go, Java, Scala, Kotlin, etc.) and SQL database systems is beneficial, but not mandatory.
You enjoy working in an Agile environment and are open to learning about DevOps concepts.
You are eager to learn and stay updated with the latest developments in your field.
