Technical Application Administrator
When Slack messages start coming in about Jira being down or if someone cannot get into Keyhub, you know that right now is your time to show what you can do.
Sqills is looking for a Technical Application Administrator with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset. You enjoy optimising business-critical tools while also enjoying the challenge of solving problems if something goes wrong.
What will you do?
You become a part of Sqills’ internal IT team (named PRISMA) and will be responsible for the technical management, maintenance, and optimization of our business-critical applications. This means that you work closely with developers, system administrators, and layers of the organisation to ensure that applications run efficiently and securely.
You will monitor application performance, resolve technical issues, and ensure the security and stability of the tools we simply cannot do without such as Google Workspace, Jira Data Center, Confluence Data Center, Slack, Discourse, and Okta. Because you stay current with new tooling, you will evaluate and, if needed, integrate future tools into our stack.
Your responsibilities
Configure and deploy Google Workspace, Jira/Confluence Data Center, Slack, Discourse, and Okta;
You monitor application performance and ensure that our systems remain available and reliable;
You proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to application functionality;
You work closely with developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders to implement updates and improvements;
You implement workflows, forms, and automation using the available tools;
You ensure application security and keep documentation and compliance up to date;
You coordinate with vendors and external partners when needed;
You continuously investigate how routine tasks and internal processes can be further automated and improved.
About you...
You have a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field;
You have proven experience in application management, system administration, or a similar technical role or you are just starting your career and have a passion for IT;
You have strong knowledge of operating systems (MacOs, Windows, Linux);
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud is a plus;
You can effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
You have an analytical mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving;
You are curious about the latest developments in your field and have a passion for learning.
