Transform complex tech into seamless user experiences

Full-time · Enschede

Are you interested in contributing to our goal of becoming the world leader in software for public transport? Would you like to work at a dynamic and innovative organization whose software is used globally? If so, this is the perfect job opportunity for you!

That, and more, is what Sqills can offer you. As we embark on the next phase of enhancing our product, we are looking for a UX designer that can help us shape the future for the transportation industry. Let's build the next generation of dynamic pricing, inventory management, and reservation systems together!

We are looking for a talented UX Designer to join our dynamic Design team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to summarize complex information effectively. While graphical design skills are appreciated, they are not the primary focus for this role.

What will you do?

You will be part of an agile team focused on front-end design, responsible for designing,  developing and maintaining the front-end frameworks within Sqills. This gives you the opportunity to contribute to the creation of new components from the ground up, while also learning and improving existing components already in use by public transport operators. If you enjoy challenges, seeing your ideas come to life, improve the user experience and making a direct impact on the customer, this role is a great fit for you.

In this position, you will channel your passion and creativity into forging a better experience  of our S3 Passenger product for the public transport sector. Working with modern frontend technologies like React, Mui and CSS3, you will collaborate closely with our customer centric teams, CPO, other designers and developers to build and maintain these frameworks.

What we offer:

  • A collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Opportunities to shape the user experience of our B2B customers.

  • The chance to work with a dedicated team of professionals.

Some things you are responsible for include:

  • Collaborate closely with our UI Designer, Chief Product Officer, and the Customer Centric teams to shape the user experience for our B2B customers.

  • Work within a team that includes a UI Designer, two front-end developers managing our software library, and a PO/Team Coach.

  • Summarize and present findings and feedback to the team to drive user-centered design improvements.

  • Building journeys, flows, mockups and wireframes for the front-end developers working in different DevOps teams to use in their applications

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in both working and technical proficiency (e.g. HBO ICT, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Technical Management);

  • Proven experience in UX design with a strong analytical mindset.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey design concepts and user insights.

  • Experience in B2B environments

  • Experience with building journeys, flows and wireframes

  • Knowledge of React, MUI, semantics and CSS3 is a plus

  • Understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking methods

If you are passionate about creating user-centered designs and have the analytical skills to back it up, we would love to hear from you!
