Software Tester - Integration & Performance

We are looking for a Test Engineer to push the limits of integration and performance testing and help ensure flawless software releases.


Full-time

Sqills currently has room for a Software Tester with technical affinity and an interest in performance testing. We are looking for an enthusiastic, eager to learn colleague who enjoys testing our software, features and more.

As a Software Tester you are responsible for writing, reviewing and executing automated test plans and test cases. You will set up functional and performance tests using various tooling (i.e. Cucumber, Gatling, Postman + internal tooling).

You will also work on the daily S3 Passenger releases and work with the Customer Centric Teams on integrating customer test scenarios in our test suites.

The Sqills test team is ambitious and eager to work in progressive way, using the latest tooling, languages and processes.

What will you do?

  • You’ll work in the team that is responsible for integration- and performance testing our software suite S3 Passenger before it gets released to the customer. Also known as the RIP-Team (Release, Integration, Performance);

  • You develop automated (performance) tests in Kotlin and Scala;

  • You make sure that developers and testers from the DevOps teams get feedback about any regression errors as quickly as possible;

  • You work on the daily suite release of S3 Passenger;

  • You document test results and report them to the team and stakeholders;

  • You continuously investigate whether improvements can be made to working methods, processes, and tooling in order to improve the quality of S3 Passenger.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in both working and technical proficiency (e.g. HBO ICT, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Technical Management);

  • Knowledge of testing techniques and test methods such as ISTQB or TMap;

  • Affinity with the technical side of software testing (Programming, Continuous Integration/Delivery);

  • Knowledge of test automation with, for example, Cucumber, Rest Assured, Apitest or Cypress;

  • Knowledge of performance testing with, for example, Gatling is a plus;

  • Basic knowledge of programming languages (Go, Java, Scala, Kotlin, etc);

  • Knowledge of SQL database systems is a plus;

  • You feel at home in an Agile working environment and embrace concepts such as DevOps;

  • You are interested in the latest developments in your field and enjoy learning.
